Request

How do I post a request?
The entire request is created exclusively online through an intuitive form. To submit a complete request you need to precisely specify the route, the required date, the timetable, the total number of passengers and any additional specifications of the planned journey. Submitting the form is conditional on completing a quick registration. Immediately after a successful submission, the entire request is automatically published on the platform, where only relevant and fully verified carriers can respond right away with their specific price offers.
Is posting a request binding?
Simply submitting a request into the system does not represent any commitment whatsoever, and the entire process is completely free of charge. This initial step serves solely as a non-binding way to approach the market in order to gather real price offers from transport providers. Before making a final decision you therefore have the ideal opportunity to compare all received options in detail and objectively, which lets you choose the most suitable alternative completely at ease and without any pressure or the need for immediate confirmation.
How many offers can I get?
The total number of responses you receive always depends on the specifics of the particular route, the chosen date, the required vehicle capacity and the current availability of transport providers on the market. The main goal of the Find-Bus platform is to efficiently gather all available price options in one place. This centralized approach completely eliminates the need to spend time calling individual companies and significantly simplifies the whole process of finally selecting the most suitable option.
Is using Find-Bus free?
Yes, the Find-Bus platform is completely free for those requesting transport. Whether you are just trying out the system as an unregistered guest or already using the platform as our fully verified user, creating a request, publishing it and comparing offers costs you nothing at all. You only ever pay for the journey itself to the selected carrier.
Do I have to register before posting a request?
No, you can try out planning a route and filling in the details without any obligation even as an unregistered guest. However, to actually publish your request and start collecting offers from carriers, you need to create an account. Registration then lets you keep all your requests, incoming offers and reservations safely and clearly in one place.
What details do I need to fill in?
The foundation for successfully creating a request is precisely defining the point of departure, the destination, the specific date and time, the total number of passengers and any additional requirements for the vehicle's equipment or the course of the journey itself. There is a direct correlation here: the more detailed and precise all the input information is, the more relevant the price calculations you can expect from transport providers. This careful approach to the initial request ensures maximum efficiency of the whole process and significantly minimizes the need for any additional clarification of details.
Can I post a request for a trip abroad?
The platform fully supports submitting requests for journeys heading abroad as well. Individual transport providers then assess these international routes on a case-by-case basis according to the precisely entered parameters, the required date and their current operating capacity. When the specifications of the order match and a suitable fleet for international journeys is available, presenting relevant price offers is therefore ensured without any problems.
Can I edit a request after submitting it?
Once a request is finally submitted into the system, no further changes can be made to it whatsoever. If you need to change the planned route, the chosen date, the total number of passengers or other key parameters, you must create an entirely new request. This strict procedure reliably ensures that all transport providers always calculate their offers based on fixed and unchanging information, which effectively prevents any misunderstandings throughout the selection process.
Is Find-Bus suitable for small clubs too?
Yes. Find-Bus is suitable for small sports clubs, youth teams, academies and larger organizations. You can submit a request for a single match, tournament, training camp or club event.
Can we handle multiple trips during the season?
Yes, you can use Find-Bus for every individual trip – for example a match, tournament, training camp or club event. We are preparing a feature for more convenient entry of multiple trips across the whole season, so clubs don't have to fill in the same details repeatedly.
What if we carry sports equipment?
In the request you state the number of people and a note about equipment, for example hockey sticks, bags, balls, skis or other sports gear. Carriers then offer a suitable bus with matching space.
Can we have multiple stops along the way?
Of course. If you need to pick up children at another school along the way or plan a longer lunch stop, simply enter these details directly into the request form. Carriers will then account for your exact itinerary in advance and their price offer will be final.
How is it best to organise a bus trip for a larger group?
Start with an exact meeting place and time with a time buffer, and prepare an up-to-date passenger list. Appoint one main coordinator who communicates with the driver and handles questions, and share a simple trip plan with stops with everyone. The clearer the information in advance, the calmer the whole departure.
How long and how frequent should breaks along the route be?
Treat breaks as a fixed part of the plan, not as a delay. On longer routes, regular short stops pay off for stretching, refreshments and hydration. On long-distance trips, mandatory driver breaks set by EU rules also apply — our system checks them automatically when planning the route, so you don't have to worry about them yourself.
Who should be the main contact during the trip?
Ideally one responsible person — the trip organiser, coach or event leader — who has the passenger list and itinerary at hand and communicates directly with the driver. One clear contact prevents confusion and speeds up resolving any situation on the route.
How do I prepare for a longer bus trip abroad?
For trips abroad, allow more time on the route and account for mandatory driver breaks. Think through suitable stops, all passengers' documents and hydration for the longer stretch in advance. A clear itinerary with times and a contact for the coordinator also helps — so you can handle even a long route with ease.
How far in advance should I book a bus?
We recommend not leaving the booking to the last minute. For ordinary one-day trips it is ideal to submit a request at least 3 to 4 weeks ahead. But if you're planning a multi-day tour, a school trip in peak season (May/June) or a trip abroad, definitely start looking even several months before departure. That way you'll be sure of the best prices and a much wider choice of available carriers.
How accurately do you estimate the arrival time?
We don't calculate the arrival time as mere dry data from an ordinary map. By law, buses have a lower permitted speed than passenger cars and need more time to pass through cities or to park. That's why we always include a logistical buffer for safe boarding, loading luggage and traffic, so you have the most realistic schedule possible.
How many breaks are mandatory?
Safety always comes first. Professional drivers must observe strict legal limits. As a general rule, after 4.5 hours of driving there must be a break of at least 45 minutes. We'll gladly help you plan these breaks into the itinerary cleverly, so they coincide, for example, with lunchtime or a visit to an interesting place along the way.
What data do you need for an accurate calculation?
To get the most accurate price, carriers mainly need to know the date, the exact boarding and drop-off points, the number of passengers (for the right bus size) and the schedule. Don't forget to state any stops along the way or special requirements (e.g. oversized luggage, skis or bikes), so you're not surprised by any extra costs later.
Can Find-Bus provide up-to-date information on low-emission zones in Europe?
Find-Bus helps prepare the route and request so that important conditions, restrictions and requirements can be flagged. For specific countries and cities, however, it is always advisable to allow for verifying the current rules before the trip.
Will you help with parking and reservations?
Find-Bus can help prepare the request and flag the need for parking or permits. The reservations themselves and local permits need to be handled according to the specific destination and the agreement with the carrier.
Can I change the date or route after submitting the request?
Once the request has been sent out to carriers, its main parameters (such as the date or route) can no longer be rewritten directly in the system. We do this so that all the offers received stay fair and precisely comparable. If you need to make a substantial change to the request, simply cancel the original one and create a new one with the current details in just a few clicks.
Can I give just an estimate if I don't know the details yet?
Yes. If you don't yet know the exact number of people or the final return time, give an estimate and mark it as approximate. Carriers will send a preliminary price and refine it once you have the details. An estimate is better than an empty field.
Do I have to know the exact number of passengers in advance?
The exact number is ideal for choosing an optimally sized bus and setting an accurate price. But if you don't yet know the final figure, enter the most accurate estimate possible and rather count on a slight buffer. Should the number of passengers change drastically later (and require a different type of bus), it's best to submit a new request.
Is the request really non-binding?
Absolutely. Simply creating and submitting a request into the system does not commit you to anything and is completely free. The process only becomes binding at the moment you pick one specific offer from those received and firmly confirm it by paying the reservation deposit. Until then, everything is entirely in your hands.
How long does it take to process a request?
You submit a request in just a few minutes and usually start receiving the first offers from verified carriers within hours. The exact speed depends on the date and route, but you typically have most offers to compare the same day.
Is the request binding?
No. Submitting a request commits you to nothing, you only get an overview of offers from carriers. You are only committed once you select and confirm a specific offer.
Is the Find-Bus service free?
Yes, for requesters the Find-Bus platform is 100% free. We charge you no reservation, handling, or hidden fees for using the system. Your only investment is the price of the transport itself, offered by your chosen carrier. You pay that safely into our escrow, from where we forward it directly to the carrier once the trip is successfully completed. With us, as a requester you pay nothing extra.
